SYMPTOM(s):
Files that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files.

The error message above appears during an installation of Progress on Windows XP Professional.
CAUSE:
The Progress installation utility copies some files to the system32 directory.
If the copied files are older than the files being replaced, this error message might appear.
FIX:
You have two choices when this error appears. You can either:
A) insert the Windows XP CD to copy back the original system files, or,
B) choose cancel when the dialog appears, which will leave in place the files installed by the Progress installation utility.
Progress recommends that you choose "A" -- insert the Windows XP CD to copy back the original system files that have been replaced by the Progress installation utility.
