BTOS error 33 when disconnecting v6 client from v5 server
910308-mlb01When using V6 C/BTOS to connect to a v5 database via a V5
server, all is well until you attempt to disconnect from
the v5 database. When you disconnect you will receive
the message "Waiting on close request, C/BTOS error 33" or
something to this effect. This can be ignored. It is a
harmless message that comes about because of the
difference between v5 and v6. The v5 server does not send
close requests, this is new for v6.
Note also: If you had been connected across a multi-node
network (APT-NET, B-NET, CT-NET, etc.), the network
resources won't be freed up when you disconnect. You
will need to reboot in order to get that memory back.
