Invalid username and/or password specification. (9173)
Failed logging in user: . (8541)
Connecting to the AdminServer from the Progress Explorer.
AdminServer resides on a Unixware machine.
AdminServer port does NOT have a conflict.
Username and password are correct.
Unixware machine does not use NIS for userid/password validation.
Unixware machine uses shadow passwords.
CAUSE:
The Progress Explorer will not allow you to log in to the AdminServer running on Unixware with shadow passwords enabled.
FIX:
Do not use shadow passwords.
