7.3A Asian Windows under Japanese Windows. Double-byte setup
With V7 Asian windows product (starting with 7.3A), the following
items are needed in order for it to work properly with Japanese
Windows.
1) Microsoft Windows (Japanese Windows 3.1) needs to be configured to
be using the Sei Ming Ti font. This is normally the default
font setup and is the only font that supports Double-byte
characters under JWIN 3.1
2) The following startup parameters are required either in a startup
parameter file or on the command line of the progress icon.
(Note: _prowina.exe is the executable used for Asian Progress)
-charset shift-jis
-stream shift-jis
3) Finally, in the progress.ini file in the default font needs to be
set as number 8.
