SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 8.0B/8.1X client connecting via SQL*NET to Oracle
Client getting error 2011, "Could not load Oracle library <library-name>. DataServer not started. (2011)"
CHANGE:
In versions, 8.0B/8.1, the progress client searches an internal DLL list, rather than searching the most recent DLL within the SYSTEM PATH.
CAUSE:
The internal list contains all known DLLs up to Oracle version 7.3.x.x. Customer using an Oracle version greater than 7.3.x.x
FIX:
Downgrade Oracle version to use Internal list that progress client supports.
