FACT(s) (Environment):

Intersolv 3.01 ODBC driver

SYMPTOM(s):

Problem establishing an ODBC connection to the database.

** Could not connect to server for database <DATABASE>, errno <ERRNO>. (1432)

CAUSE:

Possible causes of this could be:

1) You have started your Database without networking parameters but have set up your ODBC DataSource as if you had.

2) Your services or hostnames defined in your ODBC DataSource configuration does not match what you started your Server or OIBroker with. Please recheck all your command lines for spelling errors.

FIX:

Ensure consistency between database and datasource parameters, check command lines for spelling errors and hostname/servicename inconsistencies.
