Kbase 22135: SonicMQ: How to fix boot file attribute warnings

SUMMARY:

This solution applies to SonicMQ 5.0 and discusses how to fix the following boot file warning messages when a container starts:

Boot file attribute (or default) DefaultUser cannot be overriden by value retrieved from the Directory Service
Boot file attribute (or default) DefaultPassword cannot be overriden by value retrieved from the Directory Service

EXPLANATION:

If you have security enabled on the management broker then any additional container you setup in that domain will need to have a username and password specified. The management container usually hosts the management broker, the directory service (DS) and the agent manager.

When you start the new container, the container uses the connection URL, username and password to connect to the management broker in the management container. After you set the username and password from the management console; the next time the container starts you may see these types of warnings:

Boot file attribute (or default) DefaultUser cannot be overriden by value retrieved from the Directory Service
Boot file attribute (or default) DefaultPassword cannot be overriden by value retrieved from the Directory Service

SOLUTION:

When setting or changing the username and password fields from the management console for a container that you have setup in your domain, you have to remember to generate a new Boot File for that container. If the information that's stored in the DS for this container is not in sync with your container's Boot File then you'll see these warnings each time your container starts.

To fix this problem, generate a new Boot File for your container and then restart it. After doing this you won't see these warning messages when your container starts.
