SUMMARY:
If you currently have 9.1C of Progress installed with Dynamics, and are about to upgrade to 9.1D, you do not have to uninstall Dynamics, and reinstall Dynamics against 9.1D. This Solution outlines the steps to take so that the upgrade from 9.1C to 9.1D is all that is needed.
SOLUTION:
To upgrade the version of Progress currently used with Dynamics, perform the following steps:
1) Save copies of:
<91c-dlc>\properties\conmgr.properties
<91c-dlc>\properties\ubroker.properties
2) Uninstall current Progress version (9.1C)
3) Install the most recent version of Progress (9.1D)
4) Copy back all custom properties and settings from saved version of:
conmgr.properties
ubroker.properties
to <91d-dlc>\properties (i.e. icfrepos AppServer Broker definition)
5) If DLC of 9.1D is different from DLC of 9.1C, fix the following:
<Dynamics-dlc >\bin\icf.ini DLC definition
PROPATH definition
any other path references
(example, proTools)
<Dynamics-dlc>\icf.pf -baseADE reference
<Dynamics-dlc>\as.pf -baseADE reference
<Dynamics-dlc>\bin\startdbs.bat DLC definition
