Kbase 22055: errno=0 reading promsgs file / 2523 error after 9.1C patch

SUMMARY:
This solution applies to Progress 9.1C.
The client process might generate core files or protrace files after applying the following patches:
- 9.1C13 - for HP-UX 11 (32 and 64-bit)
- 9.1C16 - for IBM AIX
- 9.1C16 - for Sun Solaris
- 9.1C22 - for Win32 platforms
You may also encounter the following messages in the database log file, when the client process was connected to the database:
errno=0 reading promsgs file, it may have been deleted.
Unable to format message number xxxxxxxxxx
** Save file named core for analysis by Progress Software
Corporation. (439)
EXPLANATION:
This problem happens when the client process received a signal (like HANGUP, SIGTERM, etc..) or the 'Pipe to subprocess broken' error, and is trying to process the message to the user.
SOLUTION:
This problem is fixed in the following patches:
- 9.1C15 for HP-UX 32 and 64-bit)
- 9.1C15 for Compaq Tru64
- 9.1C17 for AIX
- 9.1C17 for UnixV4
- 9.1C18 for Sun Solaris
- 9.1C23 for Win32
