SUMMARY:
This Knowledge Base Solution applies to Progress 9.1C on AIX. It addresses following error which might appear when running link script generated by PROBUILD:
./ldpro: xlc_r: not found.
EXPLANATION:
xlc_r is used by IBM's C Compiler xlC. By default, it is installed in the /usr/ibmcxx/bin/ directory. If you do not have this directory in your PATH, you will receive the above error.
SOLUTION:
Make a symbolic link from /usr/bin/xlc_r to /usr/ibmcxx/bin/xlc_r. or add /usr/ibmcxx/bin/ to your PATH environment variable.
