Kbase 22019: SYSTEM ERROR 49 and stVacate in the Stacktrace

SUMMARY:
You have after-image on and you get a SYSTEM ERROR 49 as soon as a client tries to update a database started in multi-user mode.
The "protrace" file generated at the time of the error (or the
stacktrace extracted from the "core" file) shows a sequence like this:

_fork()

stVacate()
fillstr()
dsmUserSetName()

_fork()

fillstr()

EXPLANATION:
The problem has logged as a bug 20020124-012.
Since this bug is being investigated, please report any occurrence of the problem to Progress Technical Support, making sure to note the configuration details; the .st file plus the Database Broker startup parameters as well as the exact Progress version and OS level.
SOLUTION:
A suggested workaround is to start the Database server with the values of "-bibufs" and "-aibufs" decreased.
