SUMMARY:
A few errors have been found in the lab instructions for the Progress self-paced training course, "Developing and Deploying WebClient Applications". Below is a list of corrections that need to be made to the lab guide book.
EXPLANATION:
Page L-11
* When setting the instanceName = aiaWC the picture shows instanceName = aia1.
* PropertyFileName should be entered as propertyFileName. (First letter is lower case).
Page L-38
* Codebase URL shows http://localhost/wc_app. Should be http://localhost/webclient/wc_app
Page L-39
* The text ...one procedure(wmain.w) should be ...one procedure(wmain.r)...
Page L-40
* The text ...one procedure(wsales.w) should be ...one procedure(wsales.r)...
Page L-52
* Step 2 The text ...copy the entire contents of C:\labs\packages to..., you are copying the 1.0 folder.
* You also need to copy the Sports2000EIS.prowcapc file from the 1.0 folder to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webclient\wc_app. Per settings on pages L-50 step c & L-51 step d.
* Step 3 The text ...copy webclient.htm and bootstrap.htm to:C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webclient should state ...copy bootstrap.htm to:C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webclient & copy webclient.htm to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\webclient\wc_exec. Per page L-51 step e.
