SUMMARY:
This Knowledge Base Solution explains how to upgrade from SonicMQ 3.0 to SonicMQ 4.0.
EXPLANATION:
Since there is no direct upgrade from Version 3.0 to Version 4.0, the path for upgrading a Version 3.0 routing node to Version 4.0 is to upgrade the broker or cluster members from Version 3.0 to Version 3.5, then upgrade the broker or cluster members from Version 3.5 to Version 4.0.
SonicMQ Version 4.0 routing nodes (brokers or clusters of brokers) can interact with Version 3.0 and 3.5 routing nodes and clients. When you upgrade a routing node, each member broker and the configuration server in that cluster must complete the upgrade before the cluster can be reactivated.
