ORACLE DataServer: You must have the ORACLE PRO*C product
Oracle DataServer customers that must PROBUILD must purchase, from
Oracle, the PRO*C or OCI (Oracle Call Interface) libraries.
Progress uses the PRO*C libraries to link with after probuild.
Also included with PRO*C is the ORACLE PRO*C demo. Build this demo
to find out what to set ORALIB environment variable to. ORALIB must
be set before the link can occur, ie. set ORALIB before doing a
probuild.
Windows DataServer clients communicate via .dll, thus they do not
require PROBUILD or the PRO*C/OCI libraries.
