SUMMARY:
This Knowledge Base Solution explains one possible reason for the error:
"Could not set Ptemp2->szDateFormat in IDC_COMBO_DATE"
which can occur during a Progress installation on Windows.
The error has been seen to appear at the "International Settings" Installation screen.
SOLUTION:
It is possible that Registry keys from a previous installation of the same version of Progress have not been completely removed by the uninstall procedure.
Make sure that all Registry entries for this version have been removed. The error should no longer occur.
