SUMMARY:
In Dynamics it is possible to assign a calculator to numeric fields and a calendar to date fields using the documented methodology. You can also add this same functionality to static viewers.
SOLUTION:
To add the functionality to a static viewer, open the advanced properties of the field and in the Private Data specify showPopup,yes (showPopup,no to switch it off). When the viewer is now run, the field will have this lookup functionality.
