SUMMARY:
When attempting to manually spawn a 9.1B SQL server process using _sqlsrv2, a user may encounter the following error:
/usr/lib/pa20_64/dld.sl: unable to find library 'libsnd.sl'
EXPLANATION:
This problem will occur on HP-UX 11 when a patch for the Progress 9.1B 64bit product has been applied to the Progress 9.1B 32bit product when the HP-UX 11 machine is running in 64bit mode.
SOLUTION:
Re-installation of the 9.1B 32bit product, followed by the application of the correct 9.1B 32bit patch is required.
NOTE: All Progress patches ONLY apply to their respective commercial release. Progress Software has released two products for the HP-UX 11 operating platform, HP/UX 11 (our 32bit product) and HP-UX 64-bit (our 64bit product). Each of these products has its own set of patches and should not be mixed.
