SUMMARY:
When starting a Version 9.x database you might encounter one of the following messages if you are using the -rptint or -usrcount startup parameters:
<rptint> is not supported by this executable. (1610)
- or -
<usrcount> is not supported by this executable. (1610)
EXPLANATION:
Although these parameters still appear in the documentation, they are no longer supported in Progress version 9.x. When Progress detects the presence of either of these parameters it will issue the (1610) error message just prior to starting the database. The parameter is then ignored.
SOLUTION:
To avoid receiving the message, remove all instances of these parameters in your parameter files or from the command line.
