User Categories in Dynamics provide a way of categorizing users.
How these are used is left to programmers' design and discretion.
For details on the User Category, see section 2.3.2 of the Dynamics Installation and Administration Guide which gives a brief account. However, please note that the User Category field has no supporting code within the Dynamics product; it is simply a field in the user table that you can refer to in your code for conditional statements based upon user.
