SUMMARY:
This Knowledge Base Solution will discuss the certification for Progress versions running on Sun Solaris 64-bit platforms.
EXPLANATION:
-- Sun Solaris 7 64-bit platform
Progress has certified Progress 32-bit versions 8.3B onward and 9.0B onward on the Sun Solaris 7 64-bit platform. However, you will require some Solaris patches to be installed. You can find out which patches are needed by reviewing Progress Knowledge Base Solution 19538.
-- Sun Solaris 8 64-bit platform
Progress has also certified Progress 32-bit versions 8.3C onward and 9.1A onward on the Sun Solaris 8 64-bit platform. No Sun Solaris patches are required.
Progress is in the process of creating a 64-bit Progress Version 9.1D, planned to be certified against Solaris 8 64-bit. At the time of this writing, 9.1D is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2002.
