Connecting to one or more databases with many extents
CAUSE:
The Progress client is running out of file descriptor needed to open the database files as well as other files, including the source code and other temporary files to execute the pre-compilation.
FIX:
Check the kernel settings of your operational system for the numbers of file descriptor allowed for a single process and increase this number.
