FIX:
Progress software places a high priority on security.
Customers are encouraged to let Progress know as soon as possible about any security related bugs about which they become aware.
Relaying of information about possible Progress security bugs to Technical Support is highly appreciated.
Submission of comments and feature requests are equally appreciated and will be forwarded on to Product Management.
In addition to security features and enhancements currently underway in Development, Progress has developed a rapid response process to address security bugs.
-- Technical Support has recently added a new flag to allow security bugs to receive quick attention and be distinguished from the tens of thousands of other Technical Support calls.
-- Development has designated a security expert as triage point person. Bugs are logged and passed to the expert for quick assessment and assignment. The correction of these bugs is given a high corporate priority and is tracked by both Technical Support and Product Management.
