Data Description Specifications DDS supported by PROGRESS
This list is the first attempt to document known DDS keywords that are
either supported or not supported by Progess. This is not an
exhausive list as the number of keyword combinations possible are
very large. This list apply to version 6.2M09 Progress/400 Dataserver
and above but may not apply fully to older versions.

Logical Files must have the same NUMBER, ORDER and DATATYPES fields as
the Physical file
PARTIAL SUPPORT
TEXT - If length of text is greater than 50 positions, only the first
50 characters are used.
All DDS supported by IDDU except logical views.
SUPPORTED with ALTLIB
ALL with Select/Omit on key fields
COMP with Select/Omit on key fields
RANGE with Select/Omit on key fields
VALUES with Select/Omit on key fields

SQL defined files (except logical Views)
DB files from other IDDU dictionaries

PARTIAL SUPPORT with ALTLIB
Logical File truncation selections - PROUPDPXD INGCHK *YES
V6.2M10 and above:
If there are 4 fields a,b,c and d (in that order) in Physical file X;
Logical file Y can have field a,b and c but NOT a,c and d.
V6.2M07 and before:
In this version *YES in Ignore Field Integrity Check allows logical
views however UNPREDICTABLE results always happens for I/O displays
and updates. It is recommended NEVER to chose this option.
