FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 8.3x
Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
CTRL-L (list buffers) and CTRL-R (search and replace) not functioning as documented.
CAUSE:
When running the Progress 8.3x Procedure Editor under Windows 2000, using CTRL-R and CTRL-L in any open file will cause the modify flag to be set for that file in the "List Buffer" dialog box.
Also, under normal circumstance, the CTRL-R keystroke/menu accelerator will launch the Search and Replace dialog box. When running the 8.3x Procedure Editor under Windows 2000, it will also right justify the line.
FIX:
Change the menu accelerators from CTRL-L and CTRL-R to ALT-L and ALT-R. This is accomplished with the following steps:
1) Go to the Options menu and choose Menu Accelerators
2) Choose Buffer from the Menu pull down list
3) Highlight LIST under Menu Items and CTRL-L under Accelerator Keys
4) Press the Record Button
5) Press ALT-L to change the accelerator from CTRL-L to ALT-L
6) Click OK
