FACT(s) (Environment):
Fathom 1.0A
SYMPTOM(s):
Status display issue with Internet Explorer 5.0 when using Fathom.
The issue has been isolated to Internet Explorer 5.0, more specifically 5.00.2314.1003.
CAUSE:
If the status display icon (the spinning globe over the Microsoft emblem) keeps spinning after loading a display screen in Fathom.
Placing your mouse pointer over the browser window's status bar (lower left side), you will likely also see the message "two items remaining".
This status will not change even if you press the stop button.
FIX:
The solutions is to upgrade the browser to a higher version such as Internet Explorer 5.5
