FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
Invalid username and/or password specification. (9173)
Error when using the Progress Explorer to connect to the Adminserver
CAUSE:
User making connection in not part of the local Adminstrator group nor the "Access This Computer From The Network" User Right enabled.
FIX:
Make the user part of the local Adminstrator group and grant "Access This Computer From The Network" User Right. The User Right can be accessed the following way:
On Windows 2000:
Administrative tools > Local Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.
On Windows NT:
Adminstrative Tools > User Manager > Policies > User Rights
