FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX 4.3.3
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
NameServer, WebSpeed, AppServer, processes do not respond.
nsman, asbman, wtbman, commands do not return.
Unregistering Broker <Broker Name>. (8210)
CAUSE:
From the operating system log files IBM was able to determine that Progress was attempting to access Java libraries that were missing on the system.
FIX:
Apply Maintenance Level 08 to the AIX system.

To ensure that the Maintenance Level 08 has been applied to the system properly use the 'instfix -i' AIX command to query the system. The 'instfix -i' command lists the AIX system fixes that have been installed on the system.
Example: instfix -i | grep AIX_ML
