SYMPTOM(s):
Warning: This file is signed, but not timestamped.
Error message appears in log file after digitally signing cab files.
CAUSE:
This warning does not prevent the generation of the application cab files, it is merely a warning that the cab files are not timestamped during the process of the signing.
FIX:
If there is a need to sign the cab files with the timestamp option, generate the cab files with the WebClient Application Assembler but without the signing option.
Then use the signcode.exe utility from the Microsoft Authenticode package to manually sign them.
