SYMPTOM(s):
Error when running Query/RESULTS from a separate install on UNIX.
DLC variable is set.
slib_env could not be found.
Progress shared library environment not set correctly.
Progress DLC environment variable may not be set correctly.
Set DLC variable to Progress installation directory.
CAUSE:
Progress Bug. When installing Query/RESULTS in UNIX, the installation process
does not copy the slib_env file. As the Progress Installer builds the directory structure and installs the files onto the host machine the slib_env file is missing.
FIX:
Copy slib_env from another Progress installation of the SAME OS, to the BIN directory will resolve this issue. In fact this file has some validations to select the settings based on the OS being used.
The slib_env file handles the internal configuration of the Progress application. As a result of this missing file the Progress shared library environment as well as the DLC environment variables will not be properly configured. The slib_env script file is designed to set the environment needed for the shared libraries that Progress uses. If this file is not found Progress cannot set the environment correctly and all other scripts won't work due the absence of shared libraries settings.
