GOAL:

How to stop all databases using the DBMAN utility.

GOAL:

How to stop a database that was started by the Progress Explorer.

FACT(s) (Environment):

Progress 9.1C
Progress 9.1D
Progress 9.1E
OpenEdge 10.x
All Supported Operating Systems

FIX:

Starting with Progress 9.1C, the switch '-all' was introduced in the DBMAN utility. It is used to perform the requested action on all databases. It is now possible perform the events of startup, query and shutdown of all databases by just adding the switch -all.

This is the new syntax of DBMAN:

dbman [-start|-query|-stop] [-help] [-all|[-database|-db]] [options]
