FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress AS400 Dataserver
SYMPTOM(s):
PCS error: 40, insufficient real-mode memory, from ReceiveAndWait.(4833)
Error during initial receive from AS/400. (2492)
Failed to connect to AS/400 database. (2467)
CAUSE:
These errors indicate that the Client has run out of REAL-MODE Memory.
That PC/Support or other protocols could not be loaded and therefore it could not connect to the AS/400.
FIX:
Use some type of memory manager and reduce the real-mode memory loaded that's the memory area between 640.
