Solution ID: 21376
GOAL:
How are temporary files of a Progress user's session named.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
FIX:
On UNIX: temporary filenames begin with a prefix of lbi, dbi, pge, srt, or trp, and end with the process ID of the user's Progress session.
On Windows: temporary filenames also begin with a prefix of lbi, dbi, pge, srt, or trp, but they end with a random number not related to the PID of the user's Progress session.
This information is incorrectly documented in the Startup Command And Parameter Reference for Progress 9, Section 4.123.
