SYMPTOM(s):
Database performance on Solaris 64-bit machine degrades after database restart.
Database stopped and restarted. No reboot.
Excessive SYS CPU usage.
CAUSE:
The problem was determined by Sun to be a bug within the Solaris Operating Systems. The bug occurs when excessive xcalls are made from processes that have very large (1GB or greater) shared memory segments exits.
CAUSE:
The Sun bug #4049222.
FIX:
Download and apply the related Sun patch to correct the problem.
