FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
The <ARG> parameter has too many digits. (5049)
Error running Probkup with "-no recover"
CAUSE:
The Version 9 Progress Database Administration Guide and Reference incorrectly shows the PROBKUP utility option, -norecover, as "-no recover" with a space in between. The correct syntax is without a space.
FIX:
Use -norecover. Do not use -no recover
