FIX:
Sometimes when troubleshooting ODBC problems, it is necessary to determine the version of MDAC (Microsoft® Data Access Components) that is currently running on the system. ODBC problems may require upgrading to the latest version of MDAC.
Look for msado15.dll, usually found in:
\program files\common files\system\ado
Right mouse click and check the version tab. This will reveal the exact version of MDAC.
