Status: Unverified
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
Database <name> was disconnected. (1015)
SYSTEM ERROR: Releasing regular latch. latchId:<latch-num> (5028)
Attempt to make shares memory connection to Progress database fails with error.
Database has been recently migrated to Progress 9.x
Database is started using the same script as was used in a previous Progress release.
CAUSE:
The parameters that are used to start the database are inefficient to separate appropriate resources for the shared memory connection.
FIX:
Do not use the old scripts to initially start your Progress 9.x database.
Start by using the Progress PROSERVE script and test each of the pre-existing database startup parameters (perhaps even one at a time) to be sure they will all work together.
