Kbase 21235: Service Control Manager Not Started on Windows 2000 Bootup

SUMMARY:
When you have the following error on bootup of a Windows 2000 machine:
"Service Control Manager not started".
you should check whether you installed Progress on a mapped drive.
EXPLANATION:
Win2000 does not recognize mapped drives at bootup and cannot find the Service Control Manager and communicate with ProControl.
SOLUTION:
Install Progress on a local drive, not a mapped drive.
