FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress/400 DataServer
SYMPTOM(s):
Error MCH6801 is encountered within joblog when attempting to start the TCP broker.
The broker job will eventually fail, thus preventing the client from connecting to the Progress/400 DataServer
Error CEE9901 occurs after Error MCH6801. Full description of this error is:
Application error.
MCH6801 unmonitored by £SYSUTIL at statement 0000000004, instruction X'0000'.
CHANGE:
User has changed the system value QALWUSRDMN setting
CAUSE:
The AS/400 system value QALWUSRDMN determines which libraries may contain user domain objects *USRSPC, *USRIDX and *USRQ. By default the setting is *ALL and should only be changed with great care. Once changed, the setting takes effect immediately.
FIX:
To avoid this problem security should be reviewed, such that a minimum number of users with the correct authority are able to change QALWUSRDMN.
