SYMPTOM(s):
Database comes down abnormally, generating Progress errors (111) and (2255).
SYSTEM ERROR: Unable to extend the database. (111)
SYSTEM ERROR: Incomplete microtransaction. (2255)
CAUSE:
Error (111) indicates that the database can not grow. This can be due to space limitations on the file system or that a data extent has reached the Progress 2 gigabyte limit per file. The (2255) error appears when Progress attempts to process new transactions, yet these transactions can not be completed because of this physical file limitation.
FIX:
Expand the database by adding a new data extent(s).
