How to troubleshoot ODBC connection hanging when no error is present.

FIX:
When the database server has been started using the Progress Explorer tool, Verify the parameters entered as part of the database configuration. Specifically:
1) Under the "defaultServiceGroup" properties window, the Client Type should be set to Both 4GL and SQL in order to facilitate connections of both types of clients.
2) Service name or port number should not be 0. Enter a valid port number or Servicename that has a valid port number defined for it.
