SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect to the database
The database interface dlls or shared libraries could not be loaded (20) 0
Connecting from Actuate to either a local or remote Progress database via SQL-92 driver
CAUSE:
The client version on the PC should be Version 9 (the error occurs with Version 8.3 and SQL-92 drivers).
FIX:
On Windows 2000 or NT:
To correct the error, add the DLC environment variable in Control Panel > System > Environment:
PATH=%DLC%;%DLC%\bin;<drivename>:\actuate5\eRDpro\bin;%PATH%
On Windows 95:
Set the environment variable in the autoexec.bat file.
