FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 32 Intel
SYMPTOM(s):
Database server fails to start.
<file-name> is a copy of <file-name>. Database cannot be opened. (598)
PROSTRCT CREATE was issued from a remote machine via a mapped network drive.
CAUSE:
The database path has been recorded with the mapped drive letter. When the database is started from the server the drive letter does not match.
FIX:
The .st file of the database needs to be modified so that the database path is relative.
Then run a PROSTRCT REPAIR (from the Server machine)
