Error 4487 during execution of a GUI application
** Unable to open file for <widget>. (4487)

Progress 9.X

CAUSE:
The error can be caused if there are some images associated with the screen widget that is displayed on the message. Most of the time, images are defined with the LOAD-MOUSE-POINTER method to change the mouse cursor shape.
If the Progress Client cannot access the cursor images, it displays the error message:
** Unable to open file for <widget> (4487)
during the startup of the application.
FIX:
To solve this problem, fix the path for the image files.
Copy them to a location that is accessible by the Progress Client.
