SYMPTOM(s):
Connecting SQL clients via Merant 3.60 ODBC Driver
OIDRVR32.exe processes remain active with no users connected.
CAUSE:
Progress Bug. If an ODBC user connects using a userID to a Progress Database that does not have security enabled or with an invalid userID to a Database with Security enabled, an OID processes will launch. In both cases, the user will be rejected by the system, but the OID process remains.
FIX:
Manually kill the orphaned process.
