SUMMARY:
This solution applies to SonicMQ Version 3.0. It discusses a problem that can occur when using the Certificate Management Tool in SonicMQ Explorer on Windows platforms.
EXPLANATION:
Creating a Certificate Store file or completing a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) with the Certificate Management Tool in SonicMQ Explorer on a Windows platform results in an access violation exception (and an accompanying Dr. Watson error dialog) if you are using the IBM 1.1.8 JRE with the JIT compiler enabled.
SOLUTION:
The problem is due to the IBM 1.1.8 JRE JIT compiler. If you encounter this problem, either disable the JIT compiler by passing "-nojit" as an argument to the JRE executable in explorer.bat, or use another JRE, such as Sun's JRE 1.2.2.
