FIX:
Progress has not specifically done anything in the Progress product to enable DCOM support. Even though one form of the application model to work (see below), Progress does not officially provide support for the DCOM architecture.
The option to instantiate a DCOM object and specify the server it is created on does not work. However, an instance of a DCOM object can be instatiated using ActiveX Automation if the DCOM object is registered on the machine.
