Progress Software Corporation has entered into an agreement with Sax Software, an industry-leading vendor of a wide range of component software, whereby Sax has acquired the technology of the Crescent Software products (QuickPak VB/J++ and Internet ToolPak). The Progress ADE now provides for integration of Visual Basic Extensions (VBXs) into MS-Windows applications. The ADE includes an OLE container, and offers a starter set of VBXs from the former Crescent Division (now Sax Software) that includes a spin button, enhanced combo box, and event timer.
Effective February, 28, 2001, Progress no longer sells or supports the Crescent Software products. Sax Software now assumes full responsibility for the sales and support of these products.
