GOAL:
This solution details the necessary steps to log into an ABA server to run on a Windows NT machine.
FACT(s) (Environment):
CorVu
Windows NT 4.0
FIX:
Take these steps to log into a CorVu ABA server:
1) Log onto Windows (NT 4 or 2000) as Administrator.
You can have access by one of two users (Administrator or corvu). If you use Windows in a non-English language mode, make sure you define at least one of these two users.
For example, if you use Windows NT in Spanish, your user must have the "Administrador" instead of "Administrator". In this case, you should define another user (either Administrator or corvu) to be able to access the ABA server.
These users should be member of Administrator's group.
2) Make sure that the user "Administrator" and/or the user "corvu" who use the ABA server have permission to log on to Windows NT in batch mode:
For Windows NT, follow these steps:
A) Select the User Manager from Administrative Tools
B) Select Menu Policies, User Rights option
C) Click on "Show Advanced User Rights" at the bottom of the window
D) Select "Log on as a batch job" from the list in the Rights combo-box
E) Make sure that "Administrators" is included in the "Grant to" list
3) In the ABA Administrator tool, select the Server host and log in.
