CHANGE:
Migrating from Progress 8.x to Progress 9.x a GUI application
CAUSE:
A Version 9.x browser differs in size from Version 8.x because it uses a new formula that is the result of a bug fix.
In Version 9.x browsers, numeric columns are resized according to their formats. This results in a more accurate column width than the old formula.
FIX:
For backward-compatibility, add a UseV8BrowseSize = YES setting in the startup section of the Registry or the progress.ini file.
This reverts to the old behavior and allows the Version 8.x browser to maintain its old size under Version 9.x.
