FACT(s) (Environment):
Webspeed 3.x
FACT(s) (Environment):
Oracle DataServer
SYMPTOM(s):
Getting error 8119 & 8127 when starting Webspeed agents
ServerIPCException in <funcName> : <ServerIPCException_string>. (8119)
ServerSocketsIPC read() IOException : java.io.EOFException : NULL (8127)
WebSpeed agent is connecting to ORACLE database through Oracle DataServer
CAUSE:
This error occurs when the WS broker attempts to receive a message from the agent but the agent process terminates abnormally. These set of errors are usually returned when the agent can not start up.
Here the agent can not start appropriately because ORACLE_HOME AND ORACLE_SID has not been defined within the WebSpeed environment.
FIX:
These variables can be set up under your WebSpeed broker environment section in the ubroker.properties file under [Environment.wsbroker1] or within the Progress Explorer.
